Piano Lessons
Whether you are just beginning piano or have had lessons before, our studio is a great choice for you. Becky Elfman has been teaching children and adults for over 10 years. With her experience and teaching technique, you can be assured that your lessons will be stress-free, enjoyable, and educational. Lessons can be held in our studio or in the comfort of your home.
Guitar Lessons
Wes Poole has been playing guitar since he was 11 years old and it is his passion. He enjoys all styles of guitar and can help you learn techniques in guitar playing that will inspire you and your music. Wes can assist you with purchasing your guitar, caring properly for your instrument, learning fingering techniques, chords, and performance tips. Whether you like country, rock, pop, or folk, Wes is the instructor for you.
Voice Lessons
Becky Elfman and Wes Poole have over 50 years combined experience in vocal training. Whether you are looking to better your technique in a church or community choir, try out for solo parts, become involved in local or school musical theater, or interested in singing professionally, Becky and Wes will help you reach your goals. Wes has been performing in public since the age of 6 years old and continues to perform professionally in the community. As a vocal performance major in college, Wes has studied under master teachers, performed in many venues, and studied proper music technique. Becky also has been a singer all her life. She has coached children's and adult vocal ensembles and taught private vocal lessons. Proper breathing and diction, performance tips, musicianship and practice techniques are all included in your private voice lessons.
Music Theory Lessons
Learning music theory will help you in all aspects of your musical life. Being able to read, analyze and even compose music will make you a stronger, more confident musician, no matter your instrument or voice (or whether you are just starting out). Whether you are a total beginner or a college student in need of tutoring, we can help you. Let music theory be fun and interesting. We will work with you on your instrument or help you select one, help you with sight-singing, dictation, part-writing, counterpoint and analysis or with the very first steps in music. Group and family sessions with Music Mind Games are also available: this innovative curriculum by Michiko Yurko uses Magic Notes and Coins, "Blue Jello," playing cards, magnets and more to help children learn while playing funny games (but the adults like them too!).
